Let’s start with this.
My positive take on life.
We’re all going to die.
As Shakespeare professes.
We’re actors on stage.
That’s our backdrop.
Follow me as I leave my cousin Leo’s bar mitzvah.
I drink two lemon-drop martinis, two glasses of red wine and eat steak.
I head out the door.

A Hanky and T-T-T-Top Hat

Created and Performed by Bobby Torkova
Directed by Gene Santarelli
Performing November 13 & 15

We turn onto 34th Street and I start looking very intently at every store for the Palace of Magic.  We just about get to 8th avenue, when I spot the building – number 3-0-4!   But, something’s wrong.  It sure doesn’t look like a Palace of Magic to me; it’s just an old run down bar.  It’s a bit of a shock to realize that the legendary Palace of Magic is nothing but a dingy little walk-up above a bar.  We stop in front of the building and the remainder of my excitement is shattered.
