We ain’t talking crazy! We’ll explore and practice ways to expand your level of awareness in order to ground you in the moment and help you discover the richest characters, strongest relationships, and most lasting moments. There’s a lot going on around you. Act on it!

Limit: 20 Students

Requirements: This workshop is appropriate for new improvisers as well as improv-scarred veterans. The teacher will tailor exercises, directions, and feedback to each particular participant’s reference level. She will help those of different backgrounds and experience levels connect and meet one another where each is now. All students can benefit from this “one-room schoolhouse” technique.

Christina Myers is a working improviser, actor/-ess, writer, director, and producer, who also teaches sometimes. She studied improvisation extensively with Gary Austin (Founder and Original Director of The Groundlings). She’s also studied with Paul Sills, Del Close, Michael Gellman, Charna Halpern, Jeffrey Sweet, and a bunch of other game-changers who are pretty swell, too. Christina is dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive environment where folks can connect, discover, explore, and find success. Christina believes there are no mistakes, and as long as we approach our work with intelligence and respect, everything can be usable, viable, and has the potential to be earth-shattering.

Christina is one of the master improvisers I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with in my tenure as teacher/director. She is a marvelous teacher, and defies the old saw, “Those who can’t, teach.” She can. And she teaches.
